After fifty years Carthage having broken off the agreement established with Rome, was completely destroyed during the third Punic war by Scipione Emiliano.
It was 146 years before the birth of Christ and Rome had the dominion of the Mediterranean Sea, from Africa to Spain, and had become the worlds most powerful nation.
