Domitian
He was the last descendant of the Flavian family and succeded his brother Titus in
81. He distinguished himself for his inclination toward despotism; he proclaimed
himself "dominus ac deus", persecuted the Christians, and he raised such hate, that
he fell victim of a conspiracy (96).
