Cloaca Maxima

The Cloaca Massima is one of the oldest Roman drains. It was constructed by the Etruscans during the Era of the Kings and partially re-constructed by Silla and by Agrippa.
It was 600 meters long discharging into the Tevere through a semi-circular archway, four and a half meters high, which is still visible.
